I have a Hi-8 video analog camera. Is there an adaptor which will let me use the firewire card?

Dazzle makes analog to DV converter for about US $250 at Buy.com Or... buy a Sony Digital 8 camcorder and you can play the Hi-8 and convert the signal to DV for Firewire connection. Most European DV camcorders do no have analog input, but I belive that it will convert the 8 mm tape to DV. Anyone knows ?.
