Oh Lordy! I was disappointed at not being able to get up to this game.......but I would have been even more disappointed if I HAD made the journey this weekend! Is it really that bad up there, surely 2.30 is a bit late to call off a game when people are travelling so far? (:o|

Just had a call from my brother-in-law who was using my ticket today - he reckons there is about a quarter of an inch of snow in town so its a bit slushy but not enough to justify postponing the game. Sympathy for all those who made the journey - I'm relieved I decided to watch this one telly.

Aaah!! English weather - don`t you just love it!!! Well at the very least it might have the common decency to snow down here - I could then amuse myself by seeing what Bentley makes of it! Aw rats!!!

Lamb stew anyone? (:o|

In fairness, there was a bloke over from Belfast or somewhere in NI for the day, another from Minnesota and four from New Tork (that I know of) so my misery seems relatively minor..

Ended up in Goose n Garden, was gonna travel to Strawberry but I was with a soothamtun fan didnt think hed get in with his colours on or would he? Him and two of my cousins travelled up 4 the match shame but at least I won the hat!!

Kennyboy, I think the Strawbeery is OK about colours. You quite often get visiting supporters in there and I've never seen any bother.

If he'd worn his colours he'd have had a lot of drinks pressed into his hand. Poor sods. It wasn't much fun travelling from anywhere.

One of my colleagues works in one of the hospitality suites (free match tickets and money in the pocket) and she says that they had about 3 inches of slush on the pitch when it failed the inspection. It was simply filling up faster than they could clear it. Worked their balls off to try to keep the game on apparently and it passed both the 10.00 and 1.00 inspections.

Also a guy from DC is over as well. Mark, founder of the North American supporters club. He's staying for the Charlton debacle match as well. I think he was supposed to be in teh Berwick suite yesterday so at least he may have met Bobby.

They should have invited all the Toffs to go and have their drinks on the pitch. Could have saved on the ice in the G&Ts and cleared the pitch at the same time. Why didn't the bliddy club think of that? Typical.............
