How do I record a VCD of stills or movies 4 my pioneer DVC-503

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have a Pioneer DV-C503 and I want to know how I make VCD's using one of the earlier versions of Easy Cd Creator. How do I put sill pictures on a cd so I can play it in my dvd player or how do I make the mpeg files work in vcd. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can't use Easy CD easily (no pun) in any of its versions to create a stills-only VCD. Try a recent version of Nero instead.

Nero is easy and fast to use for .jpg stills. The only thing I can't get it to do is to repeat/loop when the slideshow finishes. The tech support at Adaptec/Roxio told me that EZ CD creator 4 Deluxe will allow me to do that...

Using Nero (my version 5.0.2.4 I think) it's just a matter of selecting VCD then dragging and dropping .jpg's to the compilation. You can then set the delay between stills or for an individual still by highlighting and right clicking. Choices are X Seconds or Infinate.

FWIW...
