Only just discussed the delights of Napster - could never download the software b4 - proudly made 'Fish Heads' by Barnes and Barnes my first download, been after that for ages. Swiftly followed by The La's, The Nightcrawlers and Luscious Jackson. Already been a few obscurities I haven't been able to find, mind you. What, no Esmerelda's Kite?
Does anyone know the title of a well-known Sabres of Paradise track that was used either in ads or maybe film s'track a few years back?

Certainly do Dan , Smokebelch or Smokebelch 2 dependent on which mixes youre after . 1993 i believe . Its on a Sabres compilation as well . Top top tune , Andy Weatheralls finest moment post Primal Scream .

Good work sir. I tried downloading a bit of that one but it didn't sound familiar. I'll have another go. BTW, some mp3's sound really shite - as if someone's been mucking about with the levels, really loud drums, quiet vox, woolly sound etc. Why is that? Is it the fault of the person who's uploaded it? Or is it me and my PC / media player? I'm using winamp thru crap speakers, so everything sounds a bit toss anyway.

Dan,In the advanced search bit set the bitrate for 160 or above. Anything below tends to sound a bit weedy.

Evidently it's the media player. Winamp - shite, Windows Media Player - good. Dunno why. Anyone tell me how I change the default media player?

Dan,In Start menu Go to SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL - MULTIMEDIA.
You can change it there.
