Watching a VCD on a Phillips DVD playergreenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread |
Does anyone have experience w/ burning movies to disk as VCD's and then playing them on a home DVD player?? I get a black and white picture w/ sound that scrolls like it was a video w/ the tracking off....Works fine on my computer and my DVD player is capable of reading CDR and CDRW....Does the disk color matter or anything like that? Anybody know where I can get help on how to do this??

I've experienced this when trying to play a pressed PAL video CD as NTSC on my DVD player. Make sure that you select PAL for PAL, NTSC for NTSC on your DVD player.

NTSC is color system for most televisions used in the US> While PAL is used in Europe. So preferably to have best picture use the respectively depending where you live.
