New challenge -- build a machine that will climb a pole, unscrew a light bulb at the top and install a new one... Challenge would be scored on time, successful removal of the old light bulb and return to earth without damage, and successful installation and operation of the new light bulb.

Slightly easier challenge -- build a machine that will climb a pole and plant a flag at the top. The flag would be already mounted on a short pole that would fit in a socket at the top of the big pole.
