My sisterinlaw and niece got a 6-wk old brown poodle puppy around Chrismas this year. No one is home during the day. They keep him in his cage in the kitchen till 4:45 when they come home and walk & feed him. They are worried they are not training him correctly?

A cage is very hard on a puppy, especially all day long. I have owned poodles for years and they are very smart. Find a nice safe place in the kitchen or another room where he can feel like he is at home, not in a cage. I just lost my brown poodle after 16 years and I am desperately looking for a new brown puppy. Where did you find yours? I am in the Sacramento area. Your puppy is very special. socialization is very importatnt because he is so smart. I usually let my dogs stay in the bedroom with a little door to go outside. That works very well.
