First fresh one in a while, never heard of this one, mind you he's only 19.NEWCASTLE UNITED are reportedly set to resurrect their interest in talented young Salamanca forward Ariza Makukula, who has caught the eye of a number of Spanish clubs with his recent performances whilst on loan at Leganes. Makukula has scored three goals in three games for Leganes since being allowed to join Salamanca's Segunda Liga rivals, and this has made him a target for a number of clubs in Spain.
However, having been credited with an interest in the 19-year-old earlier in the season, it is believed that Newcastle are now set to send their representatives to enquire about the player's availability, after reportedly watching him grab the third goal in Leganes' 3-0 win over Extremadura at the weekend.
Newcastle boss Bobby Robson (pictured) is known to be keen on strengthening his attacking options at St. James' Park, having been without summer signing Carl Cort for the majority of the season and Alan Shearer recently, and he may now look to firm up his interest in Makukula.

Any players of Championship manager will be interested to know that Mads Joergensen is available on a bosman at the end of the season. For those who haven't heard of him he's the young hot player to have in your team and is on par with Robbie Keane and Jesper Groenkjear both of whom were fantastic in C Mananager well before they became good in real life.

Well Makukula fits into 'Macarena' rather well so he's got great potential in the song dept. ;-)

Apparently he's from Congo and he's six foot and nearly 13 and a half stone.

>>six foot and nearly 13 and a half stone<<
What's wrong with that then?
Oh you mean for a professional footballer as opposed to a layabout IT worker?

For a Construction Project Manager who is just shorter and just heavier, there's nothing at all wrong with that Scratchy!Seems a fairly big lad though for a nineteen year old, him an Shola could form an All-African front two to scare the crap out of Premiership defences.

According to Teamtalk we were interested in this lad, last summer but he didn't hold an EU passport.......he does now. Something tells me this will be a well thought out transfer.

It's a bit worrying that this lad has now aquired an EU passport. I think they'll be clamping down on all this dual nationality buisiness

A great opportunity to dust off all the old SuperMac songs... except there was only one. SuperMak! SuperMak! SuperMak!

Fr!gg!n 'ell. We have plenty of strikers already. Except all the experienced ones are on the treatment table.Dalgliesh = young Left backs. Robson = young strikers.

Cordone is not a regular and Robson is probably bored with him now and wants a new toy to play with.It looks as if Gallacher will also leave in the summer, which leaves Shearer, Cort and Lua-Lua.
It may look like we are overstocking but I'd call it planning ahead. If indeed there is an ounce of truth in this story!

QUICKSILVER forward Ariza Makukula has played down reports that he could be heading for Newcastle by stressing that he remains focused on playing in Spain. The Salamanca striker has been a revelation whilst on loan with Leganes, and his electric form has captivated several Primera Liga outfits, as well as the club from the North East of England.Bobby Robson is believed to have ordered his spies to keep a watching brief on the young talent, who left Vitoria de Guimaraes in Portugal to try his luck in La Liga.
"I am playing, scoring goals and I am glad," said Makukula.
"I work hard every day so that these things happen.
As for the interest in his services, he retorted: "For six months, I am a player for Leganes. Soon, I will have a contract with Salamanca, and I only think about playing there."

Planet football today reports a possible swap Steven Glass for Ashley Ward. The report says "... although he has not scored this season, the journeyman striker is also wanted by Derby and Bolton". Another journeyman and such stiff competition from top clubs. I hope this is a joke!!

Someone must have no decent work to do. I can't see any way in which this deal would happen. If we were genuinely interested and Bradford wanted Glass, this deal would have been done at Xmas. With the return of Cort and Shearer imminent, this story should die a quick death.

possible swap Steven Glass for Ashley WardROTFL! Shouldn't this be ont he joke thread? :-)

If we sign Ashley bloody Ward there'll be two more season tickets going a beggin next season. He's a 3 goal a season striker, and a big useless tart!

This Ashley Ward thing was on Sky Sports at 6. It is a joke isn't? He's cack.
