Y'all want this party started, right?

Answers

Happy Tuesday, y'all.

I will not let Jessifer screw up the Pulp Fiction thread, no matter how hard she tries.

I might be coming in for lunch with the baseball desk downstairs, and if I do I'll check in if I get a chance. If not, talk to y'all at 4.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Y'all! The jag has not written me back. Mean, mean little dameetray. Merr.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Morning!

Bad little dameetray. He only has a few hours left.

Hannah, you MUST get yourself to Napster and download The Right Combination, featuring Seiko Matsuda and Donnie Wahlberg. Please. For the love of NKOTB.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I can't do it through work. What's your napster name? I can do it tonight.

Yeah, he has until 1 p.m. EST until he's the hugest King of Jags ever. Man. See, that's what I get for listening to Eric "some authority I am" Petersen.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

It's an1chao. You see my fires! You downroad Donnie and Hardrucy!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Where T and Arrison?

You finish housework rast night? Make crean house for Vince and mad Mad?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I wonder same thing.

Crean house for V and MM! Pletty crean house!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

herro?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Herro, I'm here.

One, I'm all about a Lin Chao column. That would kick ass.

Two, I slept like a rock last night. A rock, y'all. Waking up was very difficult.

La la la, did y'all have good nights? I'm all garlicky right now. I broke out the crock pot, y'all.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, Allison, I love hateyourdaddy. Love it.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Me too! That picture of you is beyond.

We're quiet today.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Al - do you have your old journal archives somewhere?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Big baseball meeting with the downstairs people. Very tired.

If y'all want to amuse me with text messages on my phone (it's on vibrate), it's 7037985812@messaging.sprintpcs.com

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I'm here. Came in late. Had a meeting. Working like slave. Just sent Mike a message on his phone.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Me too! I just hope I got the number right. Otherwise some person in VA is gonna think I don't know how to spell.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I am listening to Dolly Parton through the speakers of my iBook that I brought in, sneakily, to work on HYD during lunch. Napolean is out until this afternoon, so maybe I can do it.

I have my old archives still. They're boring, but I can dig up a link for you.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh yes. I'd love to read them.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I'd like to read them too.

Also, Al, Vince wants y'all to have a music date. He said he could set up the microphones and everything. Yahoo! That sounds fun. I won't even try to hog the mike.

You no send song! Why?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I can't figure out how to download ringtones for my SPrint PCS Nokia. I wonder if the email workes, though. I'm pretty sure I subscribe to it. 4049318374@messaging.sprintpcs.com

I would like to read Al's archives, also.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Ooooo! I forget to send song because of stupid hateyourdaddy! I work on those three pages for mirrion years! It take forevah! But now, I know how to do!

Mayn, I would love a music date with the Chaos. We'll definitely do it when JoAnn leaves. I think I have one song here...let me see...

And, I'll figure out the archives thing. Y'all can read them, but I was being really Secret Agent Man about my personal life, so there's not too much personal stuff. There are some funny ones about my friend Kristen's wedding, though.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Maybe Chicken L could offer sage advice.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Ok. DAMMIT! I have to go to lunch. I forgot I said I would. I feel like I just got here. Damn people taking me away from MATH!

I'll be back latah.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Joh - any word? He only has what, 45 minutes before he is the official king of the jags?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, y'all. I opened the mailbox yesterday and what do I find? A MATHulater! Yay! I am officially a bad ass. Thank you so much.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Yay! T get MATHulator in mail!

Allison now has hers on her huge-ass key chain. I love it. She actually got to use it the other day, too.

MATH: Fun and Practical.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, the King of the Jags countdown begins.

Y'all, my pretty, pretty computer still hasn't come in the mail. I'm getting a rittle upset. Man say it be here by Monday or Tuesday!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Yeah. No word.

I think I've been rejected by a mulleted Aggie. Can it get worse??

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, dude, don't think of it like that. Please.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Instead of King of the Jags (I think that's reserved anyway) we can just call him MAL. (Mulleted Aggie Leader.)

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, that works.

Aggie freak.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I'm going to head to lunch, y'all.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Well, I guess I sent it at 12:30 PST, so he just bought himself about 2 hours.

But I asked the magic 8 ball, and it said "my reply is no" so it doesn't look good, y'all.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Hi y'all.

Thanks for the thoughts, but for some reason it's not working on my phone. Stupid SprintPCS.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I need something to write about today. Anyone have ideas?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

If you find any, let me know. I'm feeling very uninspired, probably because I was here until 2 last night and had to be back at 11:30 for this meeting. Now I'm out for another couple of hours, then back at 4.

How happy am I that Fred actually deep-fried the hamburgers?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Where my jags at?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

You could write about mulleted aggie freaks.

I wrote about being UNrecognized by the law.

Dod y'all know that there's no Common Law in Georgia?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I'm back. Went to lunch and then to the doc. **shudder**

Y'all, sometimes it's hard to be a woman.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Al - what's up?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, Allison. Is it your ear?

***hugs*** and ***prayers*** for you!

(Oh, by the way, the funniest part of y'all drunken posting was the "* I left an asterisk off.")

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Dude, I had to go to the Lady Doctor. It was unpretty. You know, everything's fine and all, but still. I was afraid I was having er...a problem and...uh...Mike...could you step outside for a minute? Thanks.

Anyway, I had to go get checked out. I'm fine.

Y'all, we look like some miserable people in tindo's Tong's shots. I swear to God, did she have to put the worst pictures up EVER?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

It's taking forever to load, and so far none of me. Whew.

Okay. It's official.

Looks like the Magic 8 ball was right on.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Aw, no, H. Give him a chance. I can always go to Plan B.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

But it's been 24 hours and we know he's read it, and thanks to your recent email I know now my email is working.

See, so, see, I don't know.

Stupid boys always being stupid and shit.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

He's the Prince of the Jags, yo.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

How do you know that he's read it? And also, if you do know that he;s read it, can't you just ask the person who told you he read it what his reaction was?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Um, that woudl be Allison.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I only know because Pam told me he read it. She didn't say what his reaction was except that it made him nervous, or whatever I told you, H.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Well, I read her email, because it was in the history, and Pam said she thinks he's nervous.

But still.

Hmm, should we implement plan B or would that just be weird. Al, did you write pam back after she suggested that?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

AH!!!!! He wrote back.

But I cant' open it.

EEEE!!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Gaah! You must open it! You must you must.

Today is the Day of the Admirers for out Hannah.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

OUR Hannah.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Okay. I did. He said he's truly sorry he missed Vegas and asked if I'm a fan of Mr. T. Like, duh, who isn't?

Dude, he cut that pretty close.

A weisenheimer is a smart ass. So there you go

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, big ***hugs*** for Al. But not too close.

An Bei iBook come in! It pretty! I like! It praying Sherby Rynne for me!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Yay for iBook!

Now the question is, do I write him back right away?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

He wrote back! He wrote back! Narrowly missing the King of Jags title! See?! I done TOLE you!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

By the way, to answer your question from up above, I did not write him - I was waiting for Plan B Clearance from you. So, he wrote on his own! He ain't no jag!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I know! But now I'm not sure if I should write back right away, (I think yes?) or wait.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Herp?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh.My.Lord.

That's awesome ... congratulations!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Sorry, I didn't put in any line breaks, there. I forget that greenspun is so hinky about that.

Yeah, I guess...now I can get into big flame wars with xeney and whoever. Don't they do that every quarter when these things come out? Hmm. How bizarre.

Here's my response to pamie: Well good lord. Whatever shall I wear to the ceremony? If I don't win, let's get into a fight with someone like we're at The Source Awards. "Wha? I KNOW YOU DI'IN'!"

Ok. Back to talking about the dameetray lettah. H, go ahead and write him back!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Yay Allison!!!!!

Hmph. I'll never win one of those. Oh well.

I wrote him back. And it only took me like 9 years.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Dude - that was GREAT. You're an Internet LOVAHHHHHHH.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Mike, did you say you didn't get our messages this morning on the e- mail phone? Hmph. I sent you a good one, too.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Nope. I'll try and figure it out, and I'll call the brain-dead Sprint people to get it squared away. Much though I hate talking to the Sprint people.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Y'all, I just thought of something. The only reason I got nominated for that thing is because I wrote it on pamie's site. What pisses me off is that the MATH Collaboration Guest Entry for Journey of a Girl was much better!

You know they can't nominate pamie for much anymore because she wins everything every time, so they had to sort of nominate her from the side. And it's just because she's Miss Online Journal of America or whatever. Hmph.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I did nominate the MATH entry for collaborative, but I'm thinking it wouldn't have counted since I was part of the guest entry. Hannah, I also nominated one of your entries for an award, although I forget which one.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Mike! Thanks!

I know, the MATH collab was brilliant

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

AL! Congrats, numbah one guest writah!

Han, what did you say to dameetray? Sorry I was unavailable for input, but Mad Madeleine called.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

BTW, did y'all see tindo's recap of Vegas?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Tell Mad Mad hey.

You know, we could still get picked for that collab. They say on the diarist site that finalist selection continues through Feb. 3.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Where is the MATH collab, H? I want to see!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

That entry? Seriously, the greatest thing ever. When's our next one?

Y'all, I'll be right back. Guess where I'm going? No, guess. To CVS to get the reprints, so I can mail y'all the photos before I forget. And to Starbucks, of course. Must stay awake.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

AB: http://www.geocities.com/hannahm94/Nov00/111500.html

Nominate us!!

Can you nominate yourself?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Nominations ended Jan. 15. I didn't even know they were happening!

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

That collab truly was the best.

Ugh. High maintenance client.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Pamie just needs to buy a coffeemaker. For real, y'all. She can get the Cuisinart Grind & Brew. It. Kicks. Ass.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I know. Can you imagine the cash she spends at the Bean every.day.?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Or she could be like Tommy Lee and get Starbucks to put the shit in her house.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I spend enough there where they should do that for me.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

That's what I don't get. I mean, girlfriend. Coffee is cheap. Coffeemakers are pretty cheap, too. If you're going to bitch about the walk to the Coffee Bean and the price of coffee in LA, buy a freaking coffeemaker already. Hell. She could put it on her wihslist and someone will buy it for her.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Girl, you been watchin' Cribs.

So y'all, I have to write my first entry for HYD tonight. I am clueless. Oh - my old archives are at http://www.geocities.com/aloe23.geo/archives.html

I haven't read any of that stuff in well over a year, so I can't be held responsible for how illiterate or boring it is. I think it's probably all pretty damn boring.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, I own a coffeemaker. And it gets used. I even have one of those Brookstone gadgets that measures out the amound of scoops you need for strong, weak and medium coffee. (Not a wise purchase. But if you can walk into that store and not spend money -- or at least want to -- you're a better person than I).

But when you've really got to stay awake, it's all Starbucks. That's strong stuff.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

But, you can buy the Starbucks beans and brew them at home. You can even buy the Starbucks beans at Publix.

Y'all. I share a grocery store with rudergirl. ***Hugs*** for myself.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

We're all getting along so well with the fuzzies. It's odd.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I have two extra coffeemakers I could mail to the girl right now. Jesus. Maybe I will.

Y'all. You know you can't nominate yourselves for the diarist awards, but I can.

Integer save day! Now what do I do to nominate? I'm looking at diarist.net right now, but I can't find the part that tells you how.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

One thing is that you have to be an online journaller to nominate someone for an award. They ask for a URL.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Shit. Now I see where they're closed.

Oh well.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Just so y'all know, my college basketball chats start next Wednesday at 3 p.m. I'll send the URL next week so y'all can ask questions. Watch for MATH shoutouts.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I am all about the Safety School Leaque shoutout.

I have an extra coffeemaker, too. We shoud barrage Pamie with them.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

BTW, what exactly is a breakfast taco?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I believe you can find out at your local Whataburger.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

I don't think I have a local Whataburger.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Oh, I miss Whataburger. What I wouldn't do for a Whataburger with cheese - no onions.

What a burger, y'all. Seriously.

Goodnight. I'm going to head home. If anyone has an argument that will convince Chris that the Crock-Pot won't burn the house down, please let me know. The man is scared of electricity, I swear. Electricity and chicken.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

When I was growing up, a neighbor's house burned down because the toaster -- which was plugged in but not turned on -- caught fire.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Mike's just making things up now.

I have never had a problem, or even a scare related to the mighty crock pot.

I, too, am scared of chicken. (Raw chicken - is that what you're talking about?) I don't let it stop me from dealing with it; I just don't like it.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Nah ... if I was making it up I'd have gone with something like a waffle iron.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Or a George Foreman Grill.

Ok, y'all - yesterday we were all blabbing on about the MATHazine. And today...nothing! We've GOTZ to stay on it. I know, I know. Today's been a little crazy, what with the Ray Letter and hateyourdaddy and AB's computer and M's baseball meeting and T's Georgia flag and all that.

Speaking of HYD - y'all give me some advice re: design. I think I'm going to go mainly b & w for the photos. What do y'all think? And I think I want to use Courier for the type? An ok idea?

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Clearly I am unqualified to offer design advice, unless you haven't seen my journal.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Yours is fine, M! Just say whether or not Courier is annoying to read.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Fine with me.

-- Anonymous, January 30, 2001

Goodnight, sweethearts. M - I'll try to check in with you later as you slave the evening away.
