Have the teams build race cars and then have them race around the track as many times as there is people on the team.

Would that be off-road, or steam powered? Off road was done in seasons 1 and 4. Steam in season 3.

Ten Hours is kinda short for the teams to bodge a SAFE racecar for circle track racing isn't it?

They've done racers of some type or another quite a bit. I don't get tired of it however, since it's a good fallback.. There are so many different ways to bodge together a racing vehicle. I'm just really surprised that more people don't pait their vehicles red. Everyone knows "tha' red wunz go fasta'" :}
