Tonights Show (2/29/2001 on TLC in the US)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

I just finished watch tonights episode on TLC where they made catapults and fired veggies at cardboard castles. I take it that this was from one of the earlier seasons. The show has clearly matured since then. I have gotten to the point where I don't mind George Gray, but I much prefer Robert Llewellyn as host. The show is best with Cathy and Robert. I have to agree with other people who have suggest that the guy who plays Red Green would be the perfect host for the show.

Robert was annoying in this episode.

The 'singing in the rain' bit, yech. Voluntary, or pushed by the directors?

George wasn't this annoying in his first episode.

Robert was much better by his third season on the show, I'm sure George would be also.

I agree with Danny-Boy, although I think the singing in the rain thing was pretty damn funny.

Forget about who the host was. I enjoyed the show for the challange, The use of differant materials and designs was excellant. Great episode without the use of engines!!!
