Hello,

My boyfriend and I love junkyard wars. We watch it every week. After getting used to Robert's humour we found it hard to adjust with the US host George. The first few episodes of watching George, were not impressed, we missed Robert we thought he left the show. Eventually we got used to the idea of having George on the show and found him to be just as funny. After the US finals, the episodes are back in the UK, but without Cathy. We miss Cathy! Where's Cathy? It's better with her.

Also, you have changed the way things look on the show. The cartoon demos don't have any sound effects, and just the whole production does't feel as lively anymore, especially with the robotic voice telling the time. Is this an old episode or are you trying something new?

What they are showing is the original season one. Cathy was still behind the camera this time. Notice Dick is still a major, not the Lt. Col of season 3.

One other difference, it will be the same two teams for the next 6 shows.

I brought a tape with six episodes of JYW to work here at Boeing, and the other engineers and drafters have been taking turns watching it. The first two epsiodes have Robert and Cathy, and the others have George and Cathy.

Everybody likes Cathy, but George doesn't have many fans among my coworkers. I mean, he's an OK guy, but when you see the two hosts on one tape, the general assessment is that he's nowhere near as good as Robert. Perhaps he will grow into the role, but I would personally like to see the two original hosts again when they start filming new episodes.

Lastly, I think the shows with US teams seemed a little less technical than the shows with UK teams. Did they dumb them down for the US audience?

oh boy......just when all the Robert and George Controversy HAd ended....It starts again....and now repeating the questions...why did Cathy Leave. I give Jeff alot of credit for not going ballistic in his messages....It's like he calmly retypes the same responce for each post. Hat's Off to You Jeff. Please read the other posts before you start new ones asking where CAthy went...or how George sucks or Robert Sucks or yadda yadda yadda
