Starting Sqlserver on Single user mode

greenspun.com : LUSENET : SQL Server Database Administration : One Thread

IM Running sqlserver on NT . When I tried to start SQL server through command prompt (multiuser or single user mode ) . sqlservr with usual paramenters like -m. It doesn't seems to start but shows lot of messages initially later on it hangs . But when i start sqlserver services through service manager . It starts in a matter of seconds. How can i start sqlserver independent of NT Services . The same seems to happen in all the machines. Any comments would be welcomes .

Shanmugasundaram,

I really cannot offer advice without knowing what the messages are.
