i am looking for a programme that will convert mpeg2 to either mpeg1 or to dat files. does any body know where i can get one. i have a copy of the vcdgear programme that can convert dat to mpeg1 and vice versa and would like a programme similar to this.

the *.dat file extention is created via a VCD module in a burnware program. EZ CD Creator Deluxe, Nero, NTI, WinOnCD, VideoCD tool kit 2.0, Enreach I-Author Deluxe for SVCD 1.0, Video Pak 4, and a few others.

there is a program that converts mpeg2 to vcd-svcd-DVD and mpeg1 and it's name is "1st video convertor" it really helped me to change my mpeg2 movies to vcd
