greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Well, whatever they've done over at Greenspun, it's like greased lightening now. If only they could nick the format from Scratchy ond ITK.

I guess Duncan must have had words with them after all our bitching earlier in the week.

Many thanks for the Daily Toon team for providing an excellent alternative bbs that kept us going.

It's two o'clock on Sunday morning.....(god what a sad life I lead) and it's nice to see this site back up and running. Keep the Daily Toon board as your bookmarked back-up, if/when this one goes down it is always nice to have a familiar place to retreat to........and no Dunx, I am not trying to poach people away again.....we can, do and will continue to co-exist on this cyber outlet known as Planet Toon.

Still touting my CV around, anyone got a job for me?

A 12 hour Sat day shift and no BBs, packed up smoking (at work), the BP went off the Richter , this is so sad , there must be a help-line out there , or someone like that Oirish geezer the celebs turn to in moments of crisis, Ken whats your call sign for the Toon again, I am refused entry into Ricks, NUFC COm must have changed and RTG is history, left only with Team Twaddle and 365, spent most of Sat on streetmap com and thats even sadder

Buff, I sent you and several others an e-mail yesterday advising you where the gang were temporarily congregating, complete with the DailyToon bbs link. It was returned 'undeliverable' - sorry, but I did try.

I'm building up a list of all the regular contruibutors to this board and if a similar thing happens again, I will use the 'group' to alert everyone.

Don't know about anyone else - but the sh*t's stuck to my shovel again.
This thing seems to have ground to a halt again!

I keep getting error msgs, but reloading the page seems to do the trick.

Hmm - the Teflon coating seems to be getting a bit sticky again. Let's just hope it's getting bedded in nicely.

I've been having real problems getting logged on again tonight. However, I've just connected using my back-up ISP and got straight in!

Probably yer poxy proxy. Try flushing next time.

Hey ITK, check the link on the front page of the DT site. For some reason it works when I use IE, but when I go to the main page on Netscape, then click the link, I get a "page not found" error. Yet if I bring the message board up in IE, then c & p the url from IE into Netscape...it works. Do you have different version of the page for Netscape and IE. Maybe forget to update the link? Or is my computer just weird. ;-)

Gave up on poxy proxy servers a long ago Screach - direct connection to the net these days.
I'm pretty sure the problem is my ISP - they frequently seem to have problems with their US connection.
