Crystal Palace will give Gianluca Vialli a £10m transfer kitty if he agrees to become their manager. Alan Smith would be rewarded for his recent efforts with a lucrative role upstairs.

I don't know if it has been discussed to death on here but does anyone think that Vialli would make an ideal takeover man when Robson decides enough is enough. Shearer is too young to jump straight in but would benefit from being Vialli's No.2. I'm sure Vialli would welcome working with Bobby and they always seemed to get on.

Vialli also knows some excellent fitness coaches as well I believe!
