Donut using slowdown?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MARP Editors : One Thread

This is borderline but i'm always sick of new games being recorded with out a care that they might be too slow for the people who recording them's computers.

Here's the InpHist output from analinp and it shows Donuts single frame presses with very high percentage. I'm not qualified to tell if this is slowdown or not because i have no test case, but Ben might know more. This is just a yellow flag thrown on to the field by an in doubt official...

I think Donut has a slow computer. Or, in other words: I give someone the benefit of the doubt until I have reason to believe someone cheated (as in using slowdown ON PURPOSE).

I have disqualified several of Donut's recordings in the past and his speed percentages during T4 showed illegal and barely legal speeds for his recordings.

I have my doubts about a lot of his recordings on MARP. The statistics seem to indicate slowdown, but not enough for disqualification in a lot of cases.

As for this particular one... around 40% of lengths 1 and 2 on one button and around 46% on another. I'd look at some other recordings, and if nobody else has this extremely high rate of lengths 1 and 2, then, yes, I'd disqualify it.

Again, I am not accusing Donut of cheating. But he should pay more attention to actually playing games at the correct speed.

Cheers, Ben Jos.
