This idea isn't bad at all.

They could have a challenge where a team has to drive to a point, raise a team memeber up say 15 feet high to grab an object say 20 feet high, lower it, race back, place the object on something 20 feet high, where they swap objects, lower then race back, place that object on the other point then lower turn and race back across the finish line.

they might have something that is say ten or eleven feet that the teams have to drive under...

wow, you could have an elevator type thing or a cherry-picker type thing. Yea that could be fun...

I think that this idea is pretty good overall. I agree with one of the previous replies to this idea, where they would have a basket or platform about 20 feet in the air, and 20 feet apart. Then have a wall about 8 - 10 ft tall in the middle that the teams would have to fit under with their machines. An addition to the idea would be that you could have the three team members on one side (on the 20 ft high platform), and the machine would have to pick up one team member, then drive back to the original platform (20 ft high also). They could drop off the first machine driver, and the second driver would take over to pick up the third team member. They would then drive back to the beginning again and drop of the second driver. Do the same for the third member picking up the fourth. Finally, the end would come when the last driver goes back to pick up the "team flag" from the second platform, and then returns and joins his/her team members on the first platform. first one to complete this task, wins!

Great idea, and origional too. Thanks for not mentioning the sam old crap that everyone else is mentioning on this posting board. I think your origional idea of having the machine lift itself is just as good as the replies involving cherry pickers. So your idea has spawned another great idea. Now we have two great ideas. But you need to work on your syntax and spelling. I almost couldn't tell this was a good idea because I couldn't read it.
