United's young French left back Olivier Bernard hopes that his promising showing for the reserves on Monday will earn him an extended contract.

Absolutely DeB - especially after a howler of artic gale proportions at St Helens against the Mickey Mouse Resorves. Totally inadequate back header which fell nicely for the forward to slot it past Karelse. 1-0 to Mickey. The game was saved by young Shola's last performance for the Resorves. Still, OB showed some potential, and he who must be believed obviousl has some faith otherwise he wouldn't have gone to the lengths to get his when the French (ooh yes, them again) were objecting to the move.
