Like I said in the post just before yours, my friends and I had a race with junk built iceboats. Also, when I was in my teens, we had a contest of "Beatmobiles"... the aim was to build an off road car for under $25 (gaskets, oil), and race them in a field. Most of them were stripped down Bugs. Great fun. Then I built a cardboard sailboat a few years ago... worked well until the water got to the cardboard! It had a plastic plumbing mast and a Tyvek sail. This show is right up my alley. Love it. Rich.
