Beautifully Fugly!!!

Everything they made was fugly. They wussied everything up with those cheesy paint jobs.

Hey Kablamo, you should see what I can do if I have more than 15 minutes to paint, with a crazed George screaming out with his little high pitched voice. Need your house painted? :-)

-- Duane Flatmo, Art Attack (flatmo@humboldt1.com), January 25, 2001.

The Art Attack gang brought a lot of life to the show. Flatmo's painting was cool, the conical rocket was cool, and the screaming chicken on the air pump was beyond -- dare I say it? -- cool.

You're all wrong, and I'm glad I could help you see the error of your ways.

My hats off to you! Duane,Ken and June you guys were great, and who knows we may do this again sometime.I know we are ready!!!! To Cathy and the gang keep up the good work. Bob The Metal Medics

i think it looked like an up side down ice-cream cone with the ice-cream all over the cone ,it was ugly

-- todd turner (turner3@txol.net), January 25, 2001.

Hey Flatmo, you don't even know what I could do with 15 minutes of painting. And if I wanted orange flames and black dots painted on my house, maybe I would ask you.

-- www.geocities.com/kablamotheclown (kablamotheclown@yahoo.com), January 25, 2001.

I might not know what I like, but I know art. . .and Flatmo is a cool artist. He's the Jasper Johns of junk.

-- Glenn Dean (oasis@warwick.net), January 25, 2001.

I loved team Art Attack. I'm an artist and i think they added great aesthetics and creativity to the show. Especially the bird pump.

-- Brendon O'Brien (VFW666@aol.com), January 25, 2001.

Flatmo, shoulda taken you're own advice and spent the 15 minutes trying to make some kind of superstructure for the cone, boy did it ever look ugly with all the deformation right at launch ^_^

It seems to me that too many challenges are determined by which expert each team receives. I would like to see more junkyard ingenuity.

-- Rita Hill (ritah@rmi.net), January 26, 2001.

Art Attack rocks. I think it's wonderful that they turn their clever contraptions into goofy art too.

-- Eric (earsjohnson@usa.net), January 26, 2001.

And how! Art Attack Rocks!!! Junkyarding with humor. It was a real blast watching them make it thru the show all the way to the finals. Who said people don't remember who took second place? Bright color falling from the sky, Wow!

-- John Gap (mindthegap64@hotmail.com), January 26, 2001.

OK, my two sense. . . The paint jobs were cool. But I've told the guys if we get on, and one of them reaches for a paintbrush befre we're finished building, I will break that arm, and make them work with the other. Sorry Duane!
