Bantams make Glass approach

Newcastle United have officially confirmed that Bradford City have made an approach for winger Stephen Glass. The Magpies have told Bantams' boss Jim Jefferies the price they want for his 24-year-old fellow Scot and are waiting to hear back from Valley Parade.

(Bradford apparently offered 500,000 pounds). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's obviously not working out for Glass here. I'm sure he'd rather leave than warm the bench for the rest of the season.

Robson has known about the derth of options on the left hand side for months/years and I would hope he has someone in mind to come in and do a job for us once he can start signing quality players again.

A sad loss. Glass has shown an ability to go past players and score some great goals. It seems that something is amiss. If he's free at season end and YBR sees no future for him then £500k is good money. However, are we sure he's free - I thought all our Bosman's were taken care of in the preceding season?

Would hate to see him leave. He doesn't seem to have been given the chance at a real run in the team, and he clearly has alot of talent. Having sold off most of our other chronic crocks, I could understand Bobby wanting rid of him, but would still love to know why he doesn't seem to rate him when fit. I'd certainly hope the club hold out for more like 2-3mil for him. He's got to be worth at least that much considering the crazy fees going for other British players.
