PERUGIA 0 -V- JUVENTUS 1

1..The work rate and effort by Edgar Davids never ceases to amaze me, he at times makes me think what professional football is all about, a very skilful player earning his money week in ,week out.

2..Referee Coluna, missed one hand ball, all other fouls were punished but he did not go around waving yellow cards like an irate warden.

3..I pray and I mean this that the Caldwells come thro for the team, the old adage to build from the back is one that I beleive in so strongly, with Hughes and a.n.other this could be our Arsenal back line of the decade, fingers crossed. Reason I say this , today I saw a magnificient display from Perugias center back , Massertra sp he was awesome and Inchagi and Treveget were in his pocket, the guy is a gem, first to every ball ,suited EPL , file him away Tre,

OK, hands up, you sucked me in buff - hook, line and you know what.
Only saw 15 minutes of the Juve game - Inzaghi took his goal well.

Watched the mackem game - yawn. Real Madrid are on right now, but I've decided it might be pushing my luck - if you know what I mean!

Hi Buff - I watched the Juve game. They can be very entertaining - not always, but usually. Big fan of Edgar Davids. Opted for the Italians over the Mackems this afternoon - didn`t want to spoil my dinner! (;o)

Well for the first time in living memory (I try and forget !) I watched the Sunderland game all the way through.

Having seen Bradford against us and thought Mollenar was superb against Shearer, I was again impressed. He was a Hendry like collosus for them, shame he's 31 otherwise he would be the man.

Sunderland were exceptionally one-dimensional and it summed up their tactical manager when he changed things around late on by taking off Quinn and bringing on Dichio.

Both teams looked to be in false positions

Watched the Mackem game and was well impressed with the SOL acoustics!

I could clearly hear the players talking to one another and I'm sure I caught a few yawns from the crowd.

And if there was 47,000 people there as quoted by Sky then my arse is in Fenwicks window next trip home!
