Lennon's lip still quivering!

That little ginger git, Neil Lennon, has yet again stirred up the controversy surrounding AS's alleged kick at him in a game - ALMOST THREE YEARS AGO!

I just wonder what possible agenda this twerp really has to keep exhuming an incident from the heat of the battle that should be dead & buried by now? Is there any purpose - perhaps financial - in now pursuing this vendetta? Can he simply not get attention any other way these days?

The Sunday times reports that Lennon is having second thoughts about his support for AS, and admits that he considered legal action against him. He now questions whether he did the right thing in defending AS at the FA Hearing. He says"People kept ringing and asking if I was going to do him and take legal action, and I have to say to be honest I was tempted. however, since I felt the Referee did nothing, I felt I should leave it. Then the FA dug it up, and the PFA asked me to go and speak up for Shearer. How he got away with it, To this day, I don't know".

He goes on to say that he and Martin O'Neill felt they were being seen as the villains in the incident. "It was doing my nut in. I thought, have I done something wrong here? Was my head in the way? What a shame about his boot, it was a right mess. The Referee was 15 yards away, and the Linesman just 5 yards away. It shows you there are some players who are just untouchable".

All very curious.

Should have kicked him harder.

Fair enough if he said that straight away, but the fact that he said it was unintentional right after the match makes him a hypocrite.

Lennon deserved all he got. He's not that good a player anyway - hasn't exactly set the world alight at Celtic has he?

It's just because he's an anonymous get who wants to get in the papers. Besides which, he's hardly Doris Day himself.

Good site, ITK. I think someone's been fannying about with your player of the season votes though.

Although Carl Serrant has been one of our best players this season...
