All things taught to be immoral are objectively immoral. All things called evil are objectively evil.

The quality of "objective immorality" is not something that can change, Chris. If something has been identified by the Church as "objectively immoral," it always will be such. Something evil cannot turn into something good a day, month, decade, or millennium later. And so, the sins that you are seeing mentioned in the Catechism will always be sins.

It is up to each of us to pray for the faith to accept each of these teachings about sins, even if we are having a struggle with one or more of them. I remember, in my youth, doubting or even rejecting some of them because of my "know-it-all" pride. This itself was a sin on my part. It took fifteen years before I realized how terribly wrong I had been, and I had done much damage in the meantime.

The best advice I can give you is to "abandon" yourself to God's will and the Church's guidance, even if you can't understand it right now. If you do this, you will spare yourself the pain that I (and so many others) have suffered. And God, in time, will reward you tremendously, eventually helping you to understand and accept what is now so hard to believe.

God bless you.
John
