hi guys, is anyone out there using mydvd or sonic dvdit software? this apparently came with my dvc pack which i have returned now cuz i did not like the capture quality of mpeg2. anyways this software is wicked man. You can create proper interactive menus using this. When i mean 'Proper' i mean way beyond vp4. It even lets you record your videos to cdr and when you insert that cdr into your dvdrom it comes up as 'DVD', not data, vcd2, or any other crap!!. You could even check out your finished project before actually writing the disc. This program is just great! Thanks for reading.

ReelDVD is ahead of both, whereas Scenarist is the industry standard.

Either way, unless DVD-R drives, for one, significantly come down in price below the current $4000 or so (Pioneer DVSR201), and blank DVD- Rs likewise dip below ~$40 apiece, we're all consigned to creating these DVD volumes on CD-R which can play back on standard CD-ROM drives. It may be argued DVD-RAM is here for now but these do NOT play on standard DVD set-tops. While these are all neat, I consider the best situation is where one can author a DVD in the same way we're currently doing with VCDs and popping these into a domestic DVD player and watching it there. Not everyone one will want to give the "DVD volume" on CD-R will have a PC.
