Big grins everyone

There was NO way we would get anything less than thumped today.

To start with who was going to make chances for us with a midfield of SOlano, Acuna, Speed and Lee, we were clearly in damage limitation mode.

Shola is due a poor game, he's only a boy (a big boy, but a boy nonetheless) and can't be expected to perform consistently yet.

No Dyer.

Leeds had scored 4 last week, Robbie Keane was keen to show his worth. Viduka is a handful, the Leeds central defenders were determined to show they could do better when Dyer wasn't against them.

I can't help but grin. Grin at the result, grin at our collective downers last week, grin at monitor, grin at the carpet, just grin.

Dover coastguards have issued a warning to all French ferries approaching the Harbour as the usual landmark, the famous white cliffs, have been obscured by a pair of very large lips. The mouth covering the entire Thanet coast, alledgedly belongs to a fan of Newcastle United and is enjoying a large slice of humble pie

Hmm - I could just be tempted to go for a short walk tonight. The sky is clear, there's a nip in the air (not you neighbours Kegsy) and there's nowt on the telly until after half-past ten. Oh yes - there's a pub at the end of the lane. Too good an opportunity to miss methinks.

Well said, MacB! Dreaded the game, not at all happy about what's going on in DC today(though in spite of all the warnings of hellish traffic, there was less than I've ever seen). None of the Mags at the embassy expected anything less than a thrashing either. Much singing, dancing, shouting and hugging after Shola's goal, followed by much nailbiting as the announcer kept on about how Leeds managed to score 2 goals in the last 10min in a recent match blah blah blah. Followed by massive grins and celebrations when the whistle was blown. Can't wait to watch the highlights tomorrow! :-D

Never mind big grins. I've just arrived home from Elland Road 11 hours since walking out of the front door - I only live 6 miles from the ground!!! Lots of cheap booze before the match, lots of fun at Elland Road, and lots more fun after the match. Are these Yorkshire Puddings miserable tonight.
