A criminal returns...greenspun.com : LUSENET : People Photography : One Thread |
I recently had to go back to my old school an interview one of my old teachers (now retired). I tried to capture the authority figure that I used to see in him...

not to put too fine a point on a really good image, but if he is placed about three feet camera left, you have excellence. i think the chimneys behind his head are distractions.

He certainly has character! I like the "school-girl looking up at teacher" angle, but next time place him closer to the building and avoid chimnies growing out of his head (and burnt-out sky)
Not bad for a digital camera.... :-) What happend to the old e-mail address?

I like that his character sort of pops out of the photograph. I think it's good that his certain puritanical look is matched with some old world architecture. I think it could be notch darker overall. Good portrait.

Thank you for the replies! I tried to make him part of the building, so I guess I was successful :) As Tony says, they match each other. Allan, have you forgotten how a Danish winter sky looks? :) The e-mail address went away with a change of ISP.:) Christel
