Is it snowing in Leeds?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
While a postponement would be bad for all fans concerned I wonder if Robson is praying for a blizzard tonight in the vain hope he can put this match off until we have some fitter players!

Don't know about Leeds but it's snowing quite heavily here in the Toon.

Snowing here in Northampton too. May wreck the planned round of golf tomorrow!

Light snow overnight in Leeds, more predicted. A postponement would be nice, I'll get to stay in the pub without the habitual break to drag myself across to Elland Road to watch the lads let me down.

Mild in Aberdeenshire , teams on winter break , why then do they play friendlies out in the sun ? , talking to a groundsman , he reckons the problems with pitches (Toon) is the shorter close season where they are pushed to carry out the remidial works at the best time

Lovely weather here in Calgary for the time of year. Temeratures a few degrees above freezing and sunshine. The game is live here in the morning, and though I fully expect to get thrashed, I go into the game looking and hoping for a win. I suppose I am setting myself up for a bad day but what the hell. Howay the Lads.

It was snowing quite heavilly in leeds at about 1:30pm but me thinks Elland Rd has heated pitch.

Pissing doon in Baltimore today. Supposedly changing to sleet and snow tomorrow. It's actually threatening the inaugural festivities (heheheheheh!). At least I haven't had to go cold turkey from English weather and watching the lads. Guess I"ll check in here early in the morning to be sure the match is still on before I brave DC traffic to watch. :-)

Welcome back already Ciara - an almost seamless switch there. So how long before you come home again?

As soon as I can pay down my credit card. Then again, my tax refund should be enough to finance another trip before the end of the season. ;-)

Mild in Seatle - in fact not enough snow in the mountains this winter to build up sufficient snopack and water for the summer.

11 degrees and sunny in Tokyo

24 degrees and sunny here in Auckland.....

Minus 3 and decidedly chilly in down here in `sunny` Bournemouth! Still no snow though. (:o)

Ignore my previous comment- 2 inches of snow this afternoon and the bloody air conditioner/heater is kaput.
Japanese rubbish
