I created a slide show video cd using nero. I tried to play it on my Sony DVP-S530D and it won't play. I have played the disk on other non Sony DVD players. Any tricks or suggestions.

Your model is known to not be able to play CD-R media. In fact, most Sony DVD players can't handle it. Your player can apparently handle CD-RW, so if you burn your slide show to that type of media, you may be able to watch it. You can get a list of DVD players and compatibility issues with VCD at www.vcdhelper.com/complete.htm. This is the complete list and it may take a long time to load.

I have a Sony also, if you use CD-RW you should be able to play VCDs. It won't work with CD-w, but CD-RW work great.
