I have a 2 lbs. bread maker if I cook 2 lbs. do i need to double EVERYTHING?

I have a 2 lbs. bread maker if I cook 2 lbs. do i need to double EVERYTHING? I was making Hawaiian Sweet Bread and I was making 2 lbs from a bread machine mix. So I doubled everything and it started spewing out of the machine... it was everywhere. Should I do something different. Do I still need just one package of yeast even though I am making 2 lbs. Is that what it happened?
