I wondering if anyone know if the the Sunpak TR PAKIIa battery will work plugged into the 430ez's aux power socket. It *looks* like it will fit, but I didn't want to try in case I would fry the flash. Does anyone know?? I use the TRPakIIa with a Sunpak 120JTTL on the Elan IIe. It would be nice if I could get the same fast recycle time from the 430ez, just by using the same external battery pack (not at the same time... switching from one to the other on occassion)

Answers

The aux power socket on the 430ez will accept several cords to various power packs, including the Quantum Turbo and Lumedyne Cyclers, and it should accept your Sunpak TR PakIIa, but I would suggest contacting TOCAD, Sunpak to be sure.
