Newcastle United have sorted out the deal that will see Didier Domi join Paris St Germain on a permanent basis. There have been reports that PSG would have to sell players so that they could afford the £3m fee for the French left-back. There have been reports that Newcastle have ruled out any possibility of players in exchange for Domi. Now, MiDAS can exclusively reveal that Russian midfielder Igor Yanovsky will arrive at St James Park next week in a 'perfect' player swap deal. The 26 year old Yanovsky prefers to play in the holding role in midfield but is equally at home on the left flank. Having secured the loan services of left-back Wayne Quinn, Bobby Robson seems to have covered all the bases. PSG have been helped in their transfer talks by the fact that the French transfer window has been extended from January 14 until later this month. If that had not been able to complete the transfer by Monday night they would have missed out all together. Newcastle chairman Freddie Sheppard said: "We have accepted Didier won’t be returning. It is now a question of securing the best possible deal. We are negotiating with PSG and the player’s representatives.”

There were suggestions, ignored by TEAMtalk, that the cash-strapped Newcastle boss was keen on taking a PSG player in exchange for AWOL full-back Domi. But, Robson is only interested in a straight £3.5million cash deal as he wants to buy on-loan left-back Wayne Quinn as Domi's direct replacement. "There is no swap deal in the pipeline," blasted Robson. "I have no intention of going to see Domi in France but my chairman has spoken to a PSG representative out there and talks have taken place at boardroom level. "He is available for transfer but it still stands that if he returns to Newcastle then he will play. "If no deal is done and refuses to return, then he won't play anywhere."
