question for bill laswell

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Bill Laswell : One Thread

greetings bill,

my name is mike sintros and i have been making music for my project, eru, for a couple years now and am looking for somewhere to release some of this music. because the music changes stylistically from album to album and has many different elements ranging from ambient to metal i have been having a hard time thinking of appropriate record labels and getting responses back from the few labels that i've sent to. a friend of mine mentioned subharmonic and i started thinking about that and the more i thought about it the more i began to think that you would find my project interesting. if you would like to hear my work, i encourage you to e-mail me with any questions you have and/or address where i can send a demo cd. thanks for your time,

-mike

Subharmonic folded 5 years ago.

I suggest that you try out labels like Mimicry, Ipecac, and Load. These labels are concerned with new and interesting sounds and seam to take artists regardless of commercial appeal. Load may not be the right label for your music, they seam to focus mostly on two-person noise/art rock duos. There most famous client right now is Lightning Bolt. Still, it would definately be worth a try. And Bill, if you ever read this. Please start up Subharmonic, or an equivelent again, we all miss it very much, and I need a new copy of Azonic's Halo. Hope this was helpfull.
