Dyer price tag - come on Fergie make yer bid!!

I'd have to say for £100 million I'd think about it!

Newcastle United manager Bobby Robson says: "I think we would only sell Kieron for £100million! A club like this doesn't have to sell its best players, does it?

"We are second only to Manchester United, I feel, in terms of potential, excitement, fans and stadium.

"Had we not had players like him through this time with so many injuries, we would have been in trouble."

Not consistently effective. Not international class. Not worth it.

Realistically I think that if Man U wanted him then you would be looking at £40 million. Or £30million to Leeds or any other team for that matter.

Looking at other deals, he may well be worth £40 million.
However, I'm afraid footy is a really sleazy world, and what would/will actually happen is that a 'big' club that wants him would/will tap him up - either literally, through his colleagues in an England squad get together, or simply via the media.
He would/will then privately demand a move to said Club, and the Toon would/will be on the back foot in the ensuing negotiations.

It's nice to see Bobby saying he doesn't want to lose him, and to assert that the Club doesn't need to sell him.
All of this might be accurate, but in the real world if/when YKD decides he wants to move, he will move. In that situation, I'd be surpised if we got £20 million for him, possibly less.

Someone give LR a slap. Suggesting that Dyer is not international class... well honestly, what a muppet. Who is better? Scholes? I think not. The sooner Scholes is dropped the better. Has anyone ever seen Scholes create a goal for England? Ever seen him do anything other that receive the ball, do a Batty style u-turn and pass the ball to Beckham. England need a creative player who can take on a defence. Scholes is better as a striker. When he plays in midfield, he goes awol trying to score goals.

I know I'm ranting but I really think Scholes is the main reason England can score goals. (Unless Scholes scores them of course... but then what are strikers for?)

Rant over.
