anyone tried to caputer media from tv

has anyone tried to capture audio and video from the av connections on the back of your tv to your capture card! if so how was it

Does your TV has AV out?, most of TV doesn't have one but cable box, VCR and DirecTV has that. If you want to capture TV show you can conect AV out from VCD and turning TV chenel from you VCR and capture to you computer, the other hand, record the show to VHS tape and play VCR and capture to computer.

yeah my tv has av out for audio and video. in theory it should work just the same as you outputs from your vcr. since i dont have a capture card at the moment i cant try it.

Yep, used elsa erazor III pro, plenty of input/output options.

Captures o.k. but the quality is a bit grainy in mjpeg.
