Toon legends

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Right now, I was given a book of United's All-Time greats for Christmas - fairly predictable (although including Miranbleedingdinha while excluding David Kelly is frankly mystifying). It got me wondering - who of the current crop of players is a Toon legend in the making? Solano - great player, eye for showmanship, comes from Peru Dyer - assuming he gives us a few good years, has legend written all over him Shearer - obviously. Hughes - reasons stated elsewhere. You lot?

Bobby Lee without doubt, a great player on the field and seems to have a great attitude off it.
Remember when we signed him, relatively unknown right midfielder who became one of the best midfielders in the country.

That was a good bit on Cafe Sport last night. Surprised not to see some of our elder bbs statesmen in the crowd! And it did make up for the appalling lack of time given to the coventry match....while they spent 15min blathering on about Boro and the Hackems.
