HuMaN PoWeR..HuMaN PoWeR..HuMaN PoWeR : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

You have each team have to build a human powered vehicle which could run thru a course preferably in the countryside. Each team has to design a spudgun which would be mounted on the vehicle. All team members must be on the vehicle at all times.. Two would pedal. The other two would man the spudgun. As you cycle thru the course you would come onto targets which you would shoot 3 shots at, taking the best single result and proceedinbg through the course... to the next target and so on. It would be like in the Olympics when they ski and sharpshoot at different points throughout a course.

If you spent for effort thinking about Pacific Lumber and its documented underlings like Judges Ferragerrio and Buffington, your county wouldn't be going to hell in a kinetic skulpure.

Rita,What county are you from? This idea is for fun. What I do to protest the logging of ancient redwoods is something I also put effort into. Weather it's a rally, voting for logging restrictions or even producing a song about Julia Butterfly which our band "Spudgun" put out last year. You can hear it by clicking here> binsearch?display=song&query= sweet%20julia

Where the hell did Logging come up in this post?

-- Ryley Felver (, January 14, 2001.

Duane, I am very pleased to hear of your enlightened activism. Personally I witnessed the whole Humbolt experience, first moving to see Roy Giampoali, who had just been fired for creating a real investigaive journal on KHSU. He then got the "restraining order treatment" from Ferragerio, so I had a cool place to stay for awhile when it was Roy's turn in the Humbolt Hotel (that's county jail for non-locals). I didn't get jail for my "restraining order", that was for assaulting a Pinkerton. I did successfully recuse both Ferragerio and Buffington for being Horwitz bag boys, as I had witten about Milken and the lot from previous journalistic tours. Lately I live in the Rockies, it's sort of a nice change of pace. Send my best to the Greens in Arcata, my Hupa sisters, and the gentle people of Garberville. Love, rita

Ryley, Sorry, this is simply the internet version of heckling a performance artist. Duane passes.
