The Sun reports that he limped out of training yesterday with a reoccurrence of his hamstring problem. Can anyone confirm this?

CORT SETBACK

Newcastle striker Carl Cort has broken down in training, putting the 23 year old's comeback on hold for at least another fortnight.

The £7m signing from Wimbledon has already been out for four months with hamstring and knee injuries, but, while stepping up his training on Thursday, complained of further twinges in his hamstrings.

Cort was pencilled in to make his comeback in the FA Cup tie against Villa, but it now looks as though it will be February before Mags fans can see Cort in action again.

At least it's the same injury nt a catalogue of different ones. His injury record at Wimbledon suggests that he is not generally injury prone so hopefully when this clears up he'll be okay.

Something was bound to happen, when you change the way in which you train your body will react to different stresses and strains. Unfortunately it would seem that our training is set up to injure people.

Whats the odds that quinn gets injured within 2 weeks. Every signing we make seems to get injured before we have a chance to see them.

Tonight's Ronnie reports:

United's £7 million man broke down in training yesterday and was immediately sent to his specialist in Yorkshire for another scan.
This left United sweating on the result of the Specialist's report and scan today.
At the worst, Cort could be out for the rest of the season.
But United were hoping that the problem turns out to be a small one and that he can soon get back in training and back into the first-team picture
