If I could gets some squishy **hugs** at about 10:15 a.m. ET, that would be great, since I'll be hauling my tired ass to the dentist's office.

Heh. I should post that as a Dear So-and-So.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Also ... happy weekends, all. If you get Monday off, have a great extended break and rest up for Vegas!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Yeah, I wish I got Monday off. Oh well, I get next Friday off!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

No Monday off here. Oh well.

*****hugs**** for Cute Mike.

Morning! I have something to share with y'all: From: Gregory Holt
To: Anna Chao
Subject: Thank you Anna Beth, Greg!
----------------------------------------------

Anna Beth I just wanted to quickly e-mail you to say thank you for ya kind & thoughts @ the Dear so & so thread. I wish that your life becomes all what you dream it to be! If I can help you in anyway, please do hesitate to e-mail me! Thanks again mate Greg Holt Canberra, Australia Poor Greg. I kind of feel sorry for him.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

For some reason that didn't format right. The "poor Greg" part is from me. But I'm sure you knew that.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

But see, the classic Greg remains in "please do hesitate to contact me." Or maybe since it's in a different hemisphere, things are opposite down under.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Maybe you could email him and ask for a million dollars to fund the MATH venture.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I know! That was the one thing that didn't make me feel as sorry for him as I could.

I was totally making fun of him, though. Except he didn't pick up on that.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Perhaps. He would probably try to raise it.

So he's still lurking. I swear if you wrote him in DSAS, you'd have an e-mail from him five minutes later.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I don't think Leigha asked him to leave, do you?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Nah. Didn't it seem that he left of his own volition?

To be honest, I thought when I first read it, that pamie had just made up that letter and posted it, then banned him. That would have been crazy.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I got the impression that leigha asked him to refrain from all contact with her, and she seems to be bossy enough where she would say , "Hey freak - you stay off of those boards, okay? Do it now."

I don't know. Perhaps I will ask the Magic 8 Ball.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Did leigha ask that freak to leave the forum?

"The odds are with you."

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Wow. The Magic 8 Ball knows.

What else have you asked it?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Heh. Fleeah.

And what was with her total off topic rant in Prayer in School?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I didn't understand that at all. You asked her about it, though, didn't you?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

The Magic 8 Ball gives me advice on everything. I have an elaborate system that involves spinning, rolling, and the occasional shake.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

She said something about how it wasn't response to anyone - it was just something that was on her mind. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate in an email to Greg.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

H, I just downloaded that David Gray song you talked about. Not bad. Very Bob Dylan/Tom Waits-ish.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

So what does today look like for y'all? Busy? Quiet?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I have, have to go get this bloodwork done that I've been putting off all week. And shop for my Integer t-shirt.

Other than that, it's Friday, and I'll be stopping by Big Daddy's to get some wine.

Who's off Monday? Mad Madeleine is out of school, and V is off work. That'll be nice.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Hey, ladies.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Hey, Al.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

See? I'm not sick anymore! I'm TOTALLY well! Yes! So, driving to San Antonio tonight is completely fine and a good idea! Because I'm NOT sick.

(sniff, hack, wheeze, cough, etc.)

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

How are you feeling? Better than yesterday?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

But are you almost well? You can justify almost well.

Just don't take any of that loopy cold medicine before you drive.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

You know what will make you feel better? A big Puffy Taco.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Ooooh, Arrison! You such a pretty lady! You must feel better so you can go to San Antonio and see mee, Mr. Big Shot American Baseball Player! You numbah one, and Puffy Taco gone for weekend...

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

don't drink! you'lll just get sicker.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

What Hannah said. And drink a lot of water. Go see Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Chin Feng! I can do it for you! I can! (Oh my God, I am laughing my ass off!)

Yes, yes. I won't drink. Excellent advice. But, we're going to see Koko Taylor and Her Blues Machine! That requires at least ONE whiskey, don't you think?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

T, I'm just looking up show times for that! Did you see it?

Y'all have to meet my MIL. She's better than Chin Feng. She's like a caricature of herself.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Okay, Arrison, here what I have to say:

You maybe have one whisky at the Koko show (I know a gorilla once named Koko and she talk with her hands. I liked living with her better than living with Puffy Taco. Koko nicer.) But after that, no more! You know better than that!

If Chris make you have more than one, you tell me. I know how to treat pretty ladies right.

-Chin-Feng Chen

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

AB - it just opened this weekend (in Atlanta, at least). Seeing that movie is number noe on our agenda this weekend.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

You know, who this Mike guy? Why he in here with all the ladies and I down in basement with Puffy T? What his secret?

Anna Beth, did you hear about new member of cabinet appointed by honorable President-elect Bush? Her name Elaine Chao. She a Taiwanese immigrant just like Chin Feng and Lin Chao! Can you believe? I cry. She really big shot American. She no play baseball or anything, but Labor Secretary good job.

Teri. You ask your Chris about where you living? You stop anaryzing. You could live under stadium with huge Taco. That much worse. No way to live at all.

More later. Have to go get ready for Arrison.

Chin Feng Chen

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Oops, I use my wrong address in that last one. I not as smart as Chicken Rippincott sometimes.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Chin Feng! I hear about this Eraine Chao! She have same rast name as Chao family!

No one in Chao family ever have good American title like this before! Better do family proud. Uphold family honor.

Or we shoot her.

Rove you, Chin Feng!

An Bei

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Chin Feng, we didn't do any more overanalyzing last night. We went and ate Japanese food instead. We'll probably overanalyze tonight after dinner. But we're going to a special restaurant place tonight, and the food there is very good. Better even than the Puffy Taco, perhaps.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

AB, I think you should wait and see Crouching Tiger with meeeeeeee! I want to see it so bad, and NO ONE will go with me. However, I do not want you to have to wait until next week, so, if you must...sigh...

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Dear Chin Feng, I asked the Magic 8 Ball about you and do you know what it said?

"You numbah one!!"

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

You know, we could go see Crouching Tiger in Vegas. A little recup time or summin'.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Allison, what's the latest on your future? In Dallas, I mean. Shall I ask the 8 Ball?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

The 8 Ball has been so dead on so far, go ahead and ask it.

Ooooo, Crouching Tiger in Vegas! That would be cool I love me some crazy flying fight movies.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Okay. It's a date.

Is Pamie going to Austin or SA this weekend?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Yeah, seeing it in Vegas sounds good. That'll be fun.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

She's actually going to Austin, and then to Youston and then back to Austin.

Her dad is really sick and she has changed her plans to go to Houston to see him in the hospital. She's coming back to Austin on Sunday, I think, to go to the City Hunter screening, and then back to LA.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Okay:

Should Allison make the move from Dallas?

"Very doubtful" (spin)

"My sources say No" (shake)

"You should do so" (roll)

Should Allison move back East?

"I'm feeling a yes." (spin)

"My reply is no" (shake)

"Ask again later." (roll)

Alas, M8B is inconclusive.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

M8B needs to step up and be a man. I can't have all that wishy- washyness going on. Shake it again.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Should Allison stay in Dallas?

Very doubtful.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Whoa, Al. Magic 8 Ball has spoken. You best get packin'.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Dear Magic 8 Ball,

You crazy? You try and tell pretty lady to move out of Texas? You know she already 4 hours away from me? You hate Chin Feng, or something?

Listen, when I get called up to bigs and have to play for Seattle Mariners, I know lady going to be mad and break up with me. She no going to move to Seattle. If you get her move to Atranta, maybe I work out trade with Braves and we see what happens.

Sigh. Love is hard. Sometimes wish I could just move to Williamsburg and work for Mr. Lee.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Going to lunch. You know, I have some nerve. I'm leaving early today AND going out for lunch.

Of course, I usually eat lunch at my desk AND stay late, so...maybe I shouldn't feel guitly.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I'm heading to lunch, too. I just analyzed about a dozen stories, so I'm done for about an hour.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Okay, I'm back and am currently enjoying soup from my (and Mad Madeleine's, I'm sure) favorite lunch place.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I'm back from lunch as well. Cool Guy is all about Eminem today and it's making me crazy.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Johanna, you must stage an intervention with Cool Guy, stat.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I am really jonesing for king cake right now. Seriously. I may start maknig phone calls.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

He put his ear phones in, and my mistake, it was B.I.G. Earlier it was Eminem.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

T, don't even remind me. I'm going to have to order one soon.

Y'all, I am being a big old baby about this bloodwork. I don't wanna go! Bleh!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

bloodwork for your fertility stuff? Go! It wont' be bad. Just distract yourself with visions of Vegas.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Well, sort of. Just checkup stuff - thyroid, etc. I hate it. They always bruise my arm, which, apparently, is veinless.

Okay, I'm going. I'll check back in later.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Go do the bloodwork, AB.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

How cute was Mike in his little floral shirt?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Oh my goodness, he was adorable. Mike, I'd hang out in Del Boca Vista with you anyday.

Especially if you have king cake on you.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Y'all back up off him!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Al! You're back!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Did you guys read Gregory the Gone's post in Suicide? ( It's followed by Shmeg's.) All those changes must be what Fleeah was talking about.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Gregory the Goon. You know, if you change so dramatically that you become unbearable for fleea, who eats steak dinners in gentlemen's clubs, uh...you're trash, for real...mate.

"YO!"

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

$2.99 steak dinners, let us not forget.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Is it terrible of me to wonder what his "urlugy" was about?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

See, I was goint to say something snarky about Meg's post, but it was just too harsh.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Man, without the Fuzz beign active and DUMB the forum gets a little boring. It's really slow today.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Were the little lines that seperate our responses always here? It's possible that I just noticed them, though.

Joh - gossip:

Jody reports hering strange noises coming from Caroline's bedroom. Again. And, I am convinced that Kevin Mysterio does not spend every night at Chris'.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I just sent a letter to Chris from Chin Feng with the subtitle "Crouching Taco, Hidden Dragon."

That was probably one sad urulgy. It probably went something like this "Mates, I not miss friend much a lot. Things with my mentally self have no good yes lately and after talking to ya psychartrist and completating for a while, I decided life was worth. G'day. Oy!"

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I didn't mean subtitle, you know. I meant subject line. My mentally self is not so good right now, either.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Hmmm. Did you ask Caroline about it?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Oh, Allison, you must cc me! Unless it's not appropriate.

"Crouching Taco" - hee!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

No... She tends to tell me those things. However, Malteri reports that Kevin Mysterio has been annoyed with Caroline lately. I just don't know. She said that she spends more time with Charles, but if that were to happen, I imagine that it would have happened long before now. Interesting.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Ya mates is funny.

I'm so happy this day is almost over.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Chris has gone to Ken-tuck-ay. I wonder if he'll be back in time for dinner tonight.

I'm on the phone with Henri's Bakery.

"Hello, do you carry king cakes?"

"We have them special order..."

"Okay, great. Now tell me, are these king cakes shaped like a ring? Do they have colored sugar on top?"

"Um, yeah, they're king cakes."

Hurrah! It's $20 for a 15-inch, a price that would make McKenzie's balk, but hey. We gots a party to attend on Sunday.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I just got an e-mail from Chris. He said the Oklahoma portion of my entry freaked him out and "we must never speak of it again."

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

All right, T! Now *I* want one!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Maybe you can get them in Vegas, seriously.

Allison, you've got to email ruder and ask her what her latest DSAS is about. I don't know why I'm curious or why I even care, but I am.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I just saw that. I WILL e-mail her. And, if it's about you...the gloves will come off and I will start swinging.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I'm back, girls. Easy as pie.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

No brusing? If there is, we'll tell Secretary Chao and she'll take care of things, if you know what I mean.

Allison - we think alike, girlfriend. Blown over, my ass.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Whoa, T. If that's about you...Damn. I don't know.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Oh, I do know what you mean. Secretary Chao don't play.

No bruises so far. The lady was nice.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Glad to hear that you are bruise-free. So is Secretary Chao.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

So is Chin Feng.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Thank you. Send Sec. Chao my regards.

I'm sure all the freaks are telling rg, "Remind me to never get on your bad side."

Who's scared of her?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Where did H go?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Ugh, my email is all whack.

Allison, did I mentin who we're having dinner with tonight? We're going out with the couple who sent out the world's classiest holiday card. They actually are very nice people. But oh, that card. Classic.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

T - why would that be about you? You never asked her for help.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Because I'm self-centered like that.

I don't know - just a hunch. Seems like Allison had a similar feeling. I don't know.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I just wondered if maybe T's request for king cake help in the ATL thread sparked that rg DSAS. I doubt it, though. She was being all "can't we all just get along?" about it and saying it had all blown over just the other day, so whatever.

She better be prepared to bring it on if she's stirring up the shite, though.

Y'all are having dinner with the parents of The Tuxedoed Baby?! Excellent. Classy folks.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I was wondering about the cake thing, too. Mayn, she was seriously being mean to BigMatt in that Fuzz thread, too.

Y'all, C works with this guy who sent out holiday cards that pictured him and his wife in their wedding finery. The kicker is that they were holding their eight-month-old son who was wearing a tuxedo t- shirt. I showed it to Al, knowing that she would appreciate the full beauty of that card. We cried together right in the middle of the River Market and Deli.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I wish I had a copy of it, somehow.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

T - you told us about them.

Is RG actually being mean? Y'all, one of the women here just brought in her baby. He's so precious.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Our copy of that priceless photo disappeared. There is something freaky in that house, I think, though. I have this cashmere sweater that had a big stain on the arm and I went to clean it yesterday and the stain was GONE. Now, I don't think that cashmere is self- cleaning fiber, and I know that Chris didn't clean it - he's all about dry cleaning. It's just the oddest thing I've ever seen.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Usually that thread is pretty snarky, but she seemed to emphasize that she was serious about the insults she threw his way.

H - when will you see the Indian babies again?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I'm not sure. Maybe I'll email Lynnae about going down the weekend after Vegas.

But the baby that was just here is 11 lbs. 7 oz. and he's 2 months old. Sophia is like 14-15 lbs. and she's 13 months old! It just re-emphasizes how small she really is!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Y'all, it is nearly 4. I'm so ready to GOOOOO. I don't think I can leave early, though. Napoleon seems hunkered down for the night. Or at least for the hour. Hmmm...

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

How long does it take to get to SA?

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

For heaven's sake, go to San Antonio. Maybe you can beat traffic by a little, at least.

Sweet little Sophia. It's so great that she's as healthy as she is, and is where she is, though.

I think I'm going to head out soo. Must research one more piece of legislation, and I'm off to gussy up.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

oh y'all, I'm probably going to piss Meg off in about 5 minutes. check the maternity thread (that none of y'all have posted to!!!) in a few....

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I haven't formulated an intelligent enough answer to the maternity thread yet. I'll post there.

What're you going to say to Meg?

SA is 4 hours at top speed.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Oh, that Meg. Like in the suicide thread? She was talking about making "final" phone calls, giving her possessions away - serious stuff, but if what she says is true, she would have been 11.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

That's a haul. But you'll have a blast. Now go!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Goodnight, have a great weekend. I'll expect full reports on Monday.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Have fun in San Antonio, Allison. Be safe and get well!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Y'all, Meg's an idiot.

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

I guess you're both gone. I'm leaving too. Have good weekends!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

Ok - I had to finish a stupid story on the rising costs of insurance premiums. Newsflash: costs are rising!!!!

I'm oot. I love y'all so much - have a great weekend!

-- Anonymous, January 12, 2001

The Chin Feng Chen discussion is the funniest thing in the entire history of mankinf. Just so y'all know.
