NUFC.com are reporting that we have played a friendly match in the North West today to view players returning from injury.I can only think that it is Rob Lee they are looking at, too soon for Gallacher and definitely Cort. Who else is there? Marcellino?

Shudnt be too soon for Cort- as far as ive picked up hes back in training and due back in 2 or 3 weeks??

I thought he had only just resumed training and given the fact that he has been out so long because he came back too early I'd be a bit anxious if he has started playing again. I just hope he comes back and starts scoring!

Im sure hell be crap for a few weeks since hes been out so long and hasnt settled in the team. And of course we'll all go on how bad a buy he was :-)

The following is taken from NUFC.comNewcastle reserves kept themselves busy with a specially-arranged game in the North West today against a Bolton XI.
United ran out 4-2 winners, with two goals apiece from Stuart Green and Kevin Gallacher, all the goals coming in the second half.
Wanderers were keen to fit in a fixture to give their new ex-mackem recruit Nicky Summerbee some match practice, while we took the opportunity to blood recent signing from Annan, Colin McMennamin.
Thanks to the Bolton Press Office for their assistance.
