Left sided midfielder who signed last year. He's only 19 I think and he played up front against Whitley Bay for the reserves the other night, scoring a goal.

The regular reserve match watchers will have to tell you more about his performances.

I believe he was signed from Boca Juniors in the Summer.

The Whitley Bay game was not a game on which to judge anyone - in all seriousness, the pitch was an absolute joke. Why any self-respecting, good standard amateur Club wouldn't have the sense and foresight to have their pitch rolled such that anyone would have any chance whatsoever of passing the ball, is quite beyond me - unless of course it was left that way deliberately, to even out this particular game. Quite possible.

Hey Clarky, don't dis the 'Bay! Finest side located anywhere between Shields and Blyth. Easy.

Wouldn't dream of it, Dave! They actually did very well - but the pitch was just awful.

The generally poor standard of footy pitches, and the adverse effect they have on the development of our youngsters, just happens to be a particular beef of mine.

All the more reason for players to go out on loan to get some games on pitches groomed for league football.

Hillheads has a poor pitch on the first day of the Season! I do think, however, that the 10 week's of sustained rain that we had during October, November and December is now taking it's toll throughout the country. Our Sunday morning kickabout in the local park is a joke at the moment (not that the standard of play has ever risen above abysmal), the ground is just sodden and any amount of rain no matter how small quickly turns it back into a bog.

Mid-Season break anyone?

If you squint a bit, his curly hair, gloves and playing style allow you to pretend we have signed Chiesa....just without the skill.

Oi DSS - what's wrong with Hartley Juniors? So good, even Boca named themselves after them.

I thought that Bonvin was called Pablo, so wrote "Pablo" on my report the other day. The Journal had him down as Facundo, so I changed his name to Facundo. Now the official site has his as a pablo. Did they copy my mistake, or is the Journal wrong?

I can't even remember how many different names he was called in training a few weeks ago. And no, nothing offensive before anyone suggests it! ;-) Perhaps nobody actually knows his first name?

His name is Pablo, but there's probably other parts to it.

For example, Daniel Cordone's real name is Carlos, but he uses his middle name instead.

Probably the same thing with Bonvin, with them both being South Americans.

Hispanics tend to carry two surnames - their father's and their mother's maiden name. Possible explanation, but Fecundo? Sounds like a family curse.

He was definitely being called "Pablo" on Tuesday night. But I have also seen him referred to in print as Facundo. Mebbes he should play next Wednesday, then he can FAC undo Villas hopes.
