Dear friends,

I just accidently browse on the net and found this ALIEN 12x10x32 external fire wire cdrw can do VCD format.

Does it mean we can transfer directly from our DV camcorder via IEEE1394 to the cdrw then burn/record on the fly for making VCD ?

If anyone use this cdrw, please give me some notes. Thank you very much.

No. Cause in order to make a VCD the video would have to be converted into MPEG which the video cam isn't formatted to do. But I am still having problems making a vcd to work at all after using toast 4x and M.Pack. The VCD I made won't play in my RCA DVD player.
