I couldn't be arsed to read that but a quick glance at the baiting ("10 years" and "24 years") confirmed for me that Manure fans are, in general, utterly loathsome. (I'm afraid you are no exception LR as evidenced by your childish and often offensive behaviour on here.) Always have been (since before you were born LR) and quite possibly always will be. Supporting a team because they are winners or because they are continually hyped in the media is not really what the true business of support is all about.

Actually the 10 years one was quite amusing as they seem ignorant of the fact that they went a quarter of a century between titles while Liverpool racked up four European Cups. (Don't mention the Toon in this coz we're not the ones holding up a braindead banner).

For all the hype, "total dominance", massive "support", highest turnover in the world blah blah blah, Newton Heath have chalked up just the one solitary European championship in the jammiest European Cup Final ever seen, after "qualifying" as runners-up in the league. Liverpool, of course, had no soft options and had to win to enter Europe.

I know you find us loathsome Jonno...you always have...you always will. We care not a jot.

The thread was actually a serious one...the banners just show what most of the fans think...they are a laugh at our opponents expense. Of course Newcastle fans don't laugh at the expensive of thier opponents do they.....well not unless they have heads like apes or come from Pakistan.

You'll find that "Stretford End - One Love", "The Flowers of Manchester 1958" and "The Peoples Rebublic of Mancunia" poke fun at no one. How silly do ya feel at the mo mate?

Lighten up Jonno...yer becoming very bitter.

Dear oh dear...hitting me with the old Liverpool stick again I see.

Jonno...ever heard the old song with the line in it..."and if, you know, your history...it's enough to make yer hearts go whoaoooo oh oh"?

well how's your history mate?...."Newton Heath have chalked up just the one solitary European championship".....

it's enough to make yer hearts go..."did he just say that"? :-)

Newton Heath have chalked up just the one solitary European championship.....

I may be missing something in amongst all the sarcasm here but the bolded one bit might be important in the reading of the line. One European Championship and one Champions/runners up/third place League win - picky but the competitions are as different as the Fairs Cup and the Uefa Cup :-)

yawn btw.

The one championship referred to is referring to the current era of "total dominance" and the quarter century before that. I am aware that Manu won in the 60's after Celtic had shown them that it was possible for a British team to do it following several Manu failures previous to that.
The total dominance thing clearly only applies to a poor premiership. Against the cream of Europe, unlike Liverpool in their era, Manu struggle.
