Put it this way Pete. You want a car and you've got £5k in the bank. There's the exact motor you want on the forecourt and it's on offer at £4500. Are you going to open the negotiations by saying you've got £5k to spare? Alternatively here's the motor you've always dreamed of and it costs £8k. Well you were intending to pay cash but you know the bank will give you no problem with a loan. So - "the truth" Pete - how much money have you got for this car?
