Now Coppinger wants to leave

He only wants to get a bit of first team action on loan to somebody. Can't blame him for that if during the current climate he hasn't been given an opportunity.

I'd like to see him given a chance at a first division side or a top 2nd Div side. He needs to go up the levels for us to see how good he is, playing Whitley Bay won't be a true judge of his ability.

Combining this thread with what Softie said on the Reserves match thread.

Robson has seen Coppinger in action on numerous occasions but has yet to give him a run in the side despite a lack of fit strikers. Is it purely down to Coppingers height (I nearly said lack of inches but that would be unfair!) that he isn't playing or does Robson not rate him?

I think he's a great little player and would try him alongside a big lad like Cort or Ameobi if Dyer is suspended for the cup game.

Coppinger and Ameobi must know each other so well it would be worth a try but if Gallacher is fit I can't see Robson picking Coppinger ahead of Gallacher.

I saw a picture of him in the Ronnie or the Journal and he seems to be big enough to cope with the Prem, is he lightning quick?
