I am getting an error message that says that the program cannot connect to the audio device. I am using a belkin USB videobus II and MGI videowave 3. The drivers seem to be installed properly but I can't get any audio to come in. Do you have any suggestions?

Don't know if this applies but, on my system, I have to open the television software application that comes with my capture device, verify I have sound, close it, and finally open any third party capture software. Go figure?

Also, if I try to capture with too much compression, I'll get just that same message as you have.

Can you capture OK raw?

I had the same problem. Changed the audio selection to videobus audio from videobus 16 and it worked.
