The Parthenon is cited in the poem "AL AARAAF", (1829, 1845, ..., line 373), as the last spot on earth visited by the artist/lover (Michel) Angelo before his flying off toward this "mysterious star" -- the well-named refuge for various Spirits of Beauty and for Beauty's worshippers. A sophisticated but highly keen evocation of a far more Plotinian than Platonic perspective... A late answer, probably useless now, for you, at least. Yours sincerely, Raven's Shade (Belgium).
