Any one knows how thick is the gold plating on gold Leica cameras ? I know that gold plating on pen (Parker etc) or watches can wear off in a few years, even with a plating of 20 microns of gold. "goldfilled" pen such as Cross lasts much longer, as the pen is wrapped in a thin layer of gold, instead of electrolytiiiically plated on.
