What body(s) can be used with these lenses?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MINOLTA USERS PAGE : One Thread

I was given a Minolta XG-M by my mother-in-law, she had bought it a long time ago and hadn't used it much. The body does not work, there seems to be a problem with the shutter. I was told (by the local camera repair shop)that it would be cheaper to pick up a new/used Minolta body and use the lenses that I have with it, rather than pay for the repair on the damaged body. I don't want to purchase a Minolta body to find that it doesn't work with the lenses I have. The lenses I have are a MD 50mm, MD 28mm and a MD 135mm. (I also have a Minolta Auto 200x flash) Does anyone happen to know which Minolta bodies can be used with these accessories? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lisa Marie Divoll

Sorry you haven't been answered yet, doesn't look like this is a very active forum. Any Minolta manual focus body will work with those accessories; suggest a used camera from the X-Series lineup: X-370, X- 570, or X-700. Plenty are available on eBay or at nearly every used camera store in existence; Minolta manual focus is by far a buyer's market.
